Rules of entry
This spring Seán Keane is launching a competition to find a new song or songs. Yes this is a song contest with a difference because there can be more than one winner. If Seán receives more than one song that he likes and his decision is final then he will record more than one.
If you can hear Seán Keane singing your original song and you believe it suits his style then this is the song contest for you.
Prize;
Seán will record a song of his choice to release it as a single on all platforms and will promote it on TV as well as national and local radio.
It would be hoped that it would then become part of his set list on his national and international tours. America, Austria and Germany in the plans for 2024.
Proceedings from this song contest will be donated to the Irish Charity: Safe Home Ireland. Seán is ambassador for Safe Home Ireland and supports the work of the charity supporting people from the Irish diaspora to return home. Rules
-
The competition is open to professional and amateur songwriters and composers.

Songs must be original and the songwriter must retain the copyright.

Songs should be no longer than 4 minutes.

Songs should be in English only.

Submissions must come through his seankeane.com site.

Entrants will receive follow up instructions within 24 hours after entry.

Entries cost €30.00 for 1 song or 3 for €75.00

Entries must be on mp3 only sent by email as per follow up instructions.

Contestants must be open to liaise about the song if necessary.

Production and promotion will be part of the prize.

The song will be registered with IMRO and the royalties will go to the songwriter(s).

Entries will be accepted from all over the world.

Closing date for entries will be midnight on March 31st

The songs will be judged by a selected panel.

The songs will be shortlisted during the summer.

Seán will make the final decision.

It is hoped that the first single will be released in late October 2024

If there is more than one song selected, the singles will be released on a phased basis.​
